Bennie McRae - Halas Hall Display

Each year during Black History Month, the Chicago Bears celebrate the progress, richness and diversity of Black achievements and experiences. In 2025, the Bears decided to recognize Bennie McRae, the first Black Team Captain for the Chicago Bears from 1968 – 1970. I was tasked with using the Chicago Bears Black History Month art direction to design a display case for the front lobby of Halas Hall that recognized Bennie McRae as a Black Pioneer in history and NFL history.

As part of the Chicago Bears' celebration of Black History Month, the club featured this display case in the Halas Hall Virtual History Tour. Through this, fans could experience and explore the full display along with other Chicago Bears memorabilia and artifacts located exclusively at Halas Hall.
